Hey all. I keep trying to wear these earrings but I can’t find any backs in my jewelry box that fit them. I think the posts must be thinner than usual. I have seen silicone earring backs and I was thinking those might work. Has anyone else encountered this problem before?
I have quite often. I use the silicone backs when that happens.
These are what I have the best luck with small earrings. I use larger ones if they are heavier.
Thank you! I was hoping someone could recommend ones that they have used! I will order them tonight. The earrings are not heavy at all so those should work well.
Ha! I love it. I just ordered some! Thanks again!
You’re welcome. They also work well on wires. When I have long lightweight dangly earrings they get caught on my coat collar and fall off, so I stick one of those on the wire.
BTW, those are adorable!!
Thank you so much! I can wait to wear them without fear of them falling out! I love yours well. You cant beat a good pair of hoops! Your picture made me smile. I don’t think we had a winter here this year. Hope you had fun skating!
Maybe not always so fun, it’s actually my job. I coach
I was killing a little bit at time at work and checked the site, saw your comment, and realized I had on the backs we were talking about!
I go for the jumbo sized clutch backs. You can squeeze them either with pliers (or your teeth) to get them to fit narrower posts. They also keep them from drooping on your ear.
Those and sterling lever backs instead of fish hooks are my “go to’s” when purchasing new to me earrings. I don’t like losing earrings
I never thought about squeezing the backs to make them tighter! Unfortunately I never buy new jewelry, so I kinda have to work with what I find. Love that slab earring!
