Beautiful weekend to be out for looking for treasures. I have attached photos of my finds, a somewhat primitive baby spoon etched with initials, maybe VA. Next, not knowing when I picked it up a wonderful ring by MM Rogers that unfortunately I can only wear on cold days. This is my true find, stamped HMY, along with 14k and 925. Any ideas of what the HMY stands for and when made?
Last, my bargain necklace; turquoise or synthetic, Navajo or Santo Domingo if it is actually turquoise.
Always enjoy hearing the forum’s thoughts and information. Continued to learn so much from all here.
Thank you.
Nice finds! That spoon is interesting. And hopefully @mmrogers will let you know more about the ring.
If I had to guess, I would think your necklace is Santo Domingo; can’t tell for sure if it’s stabilized turquoise or block, but doesn’t look quite like block to me.
HMY is Harry Mike Yazzie. Mike worked for me from the early 90s through the mid 2000’s. Ring could have been made any time during that period and is still orderable.

Thank you for that information, since this is the first piece of your work that I am thrilled to own, are all your pieces signed in addition to your stamp? It is a very nice ring and so glad to have found it.
I thought the spoon was interesting, don’t know if they were mass produced that way, or someone’s intro to silversmithing and stone setting as it is pretty simple construction.
As far as the necklace, it looked like it had some age and always hope that older pieces did not use block. It is a pretty color, whaddya think, Kingman maybe😊.
Thanks for your reply
Seems like I always am guessing Kingman so I’ll go with that
I have a similar but much thinner necklace that is Santo Domingo, and I wear it a lot (it’s a choker length). I often stack it with other necklaces, and a few of my pendants fit on it. But it looks nice all alone. I think you will enjoy yours!
@biker4all We occasionally have a piece show up with quality stamps and a shop hallmark only, but they’re normally also hallmarked by the craftsperson executing the design.
Thank you again for the additional information. Was so pleased to find it and knowing it’s provenance, I will truly enjoy wearing it. Beautiful work.
