Fred Harvey Era?

This little ring was from an estate sale…love the deep green turquoise and the stamped band. No hallmark. Can someone tell me about the type of turquoise and some idea of the age or maker of the piece? I know it may be impossible.

It looks a bit worn, so maybe could be a Fred Harvey piece. It seems like from some of the things I’ve read, they often used Cerrillos turquoise in the older Fred Harvey jewelry.

Hi. I just got this Fred Harvey era letter opener…seems more like a weapon. I just wanted to show it off and perhaps get any comments. Nice stamping. Thanks.

That’s very cool, especially the bird stamp

Why, thank you OO. That bird is cute. I have seen it on other letter openers. At least I can date it.

Your letter opener is beautiful @nanc9354! I love the stampwork and the thunderbird is great. :+1:

A few moths ago, I was keeping an eye on one that embodied a Yei that I thought was stunning.

After seeing that it had sold, I found these that I really like, as well.

@Steve Thanks for the link. Those are great. I love the snake on the bottom and a couple of the sandcast ones. The Mexican one is nice too. @Ravenscry I love all of those. Almost makes me want to become a Southwestern letter opener collector. There is the same Yei one in Steve’s link. Is that the one that was sold?

 You’ve already got a beautiful letter opener, and once you write your reply and address the envelope, your pen could be housed in this Lone Mountain pen holder!

It certainly looks like it! The overall shape, stones, facial features, and neck/necklace stampwork are all identical, but I did note different stamps being used on the faces of the two. Great catch! :+1:
