All you need is love, love Love is all you need
~ The Beatles, 1967. My heart pin is hallmarked for “I. Kee” (Navajo). The stone was described as Charoite but, I think that’s incorrect. I think the stone is Sugilite.
So pretty. I agree on Sugilite.
An Amethyst heart a friend made for me. It has lots of internal fractures that give it a flash, almost like opal.
Okay, @chicfarmer, you’re up.
I love that heart (actually both of them); it’s beautiful. I completely forgot today was Valentine’s Day…
So after reading this thread, and realizing it’s Valentine’s Day, I was thinking the only heart jewelry I have is the little ring from Ogg’s Hogan. And then I looked down and saw what I was wearing It’s a BritWest (not Native) cuff made with Kingman Turquoise and 1800s driving rein leather.
@Tah Haha, what a setup. OK fine, my Harry H. Begay spiny oyster heart ring. Happy V Day to all!
I Spiny oyster. Very pretty. Silver prices keep going up…unfortunately…so do chocolate prices. Happy Valentines to all. @Ziacat …I love that ring…I don’t remember you showing that one before.
@chicfarmer The reason I thought about your Begay ring is because I thought of you just yesterday when I saw this photo on Four Winds website…
Ah yes, I drool every time they’re posted. I had actually considered getting one of those, with a set turquoise, but when it had been at Shiprock previously (or I think it was the same one). But it has a craze in the stone and that put me off. I was meant to find mine!
I love those rings. The placment of the turquoise is perfect.
I don’t like hearts (or crosses) in jewelry, but these rings are gorgeous
All the rings are obviously gorgeous, but I actually prefer yours with no added stones on top. I love the big piece of spiny oyster on its own.
My humble hearts. Larimar ring that was a gift from my hubby and heart pendant purchased by my Mom in 2000 on our road trip west.
I almost forgot about these.
Heart guitar picks. Some are drilled to use as pendants. I have glued bails on some not drilled for pendants.
And, they make for great guitar picks. I have a moonstone one I use for dulcimer.
Thanks, I think I posted it awhile ago in a thread about Ogg’s Hogan. He had a basket of vintage small rings on his counter that was really fun to dig through. I believe he said it was from around the '50s, and it is Zuni.
@Tinyturqgrl, so nice to have something lovely as a memento from your trip with your mom. I took a couple trips like that with my mom, and even though I always have the memories, it’s nice to have a special item to cherish.
