Heavy Turquoise Cuff I.D. and Sizing

Hello, all.

My father bought this in Durango in the 70s. He was a discerning collector, and I feel it’s legit. There is no stamp.

It belonged to my mom. It’s too big for me, but I would love to wear it. Can the cuff gap be sized down on this type of cuff safely?

Any thoughts on the type of turquoise/sabilization?

Since you don’t know who mined it, so just a guess by the pictures, I would say Blue Diamond.
