HELP Identify my ring! HUGE turquoise in Sterling Signed MB

Hello! I am new here, but boy am I happy I’ve found this forum. I have recently purchased a HUGE Turquoise ring. It was sold to me as Sterling silver Hopi Turquoise signed MB. I would like to find out a few things:

  1. Is this real Turquoise? Is it Kingman or some other type?
  2. Who is the artist? Marco Begaye?
  3. Where did it orginate from and/or the Era it was created?

Nice ring. It is a classic Zuni style ring, look up Robert Leekya and you will see the style. Kingman Turquoise works for the stone. The age is difficult, guessing think you could call it circa 1980s. It could also be a Navajo artist who purchased the cast shank. It is most likely going to remain a mystery, so enjoy wearing.
