Help Identifying a Five Stone Turquoise Cuff

Hi, I’d like to get your opinions about this cuff. The turquoise looks like Chinese to me but I purchased it from a man who specialized in older pieces. I had bought from him a couple times before and got great cuffs. When this one arrived I questioned it and he got an attitude. So I just put it away and figured I’d sell it eventually if I decided I didn’t like it. I recently dug it out and thought I get second opinion. The back is hallmarked JL. Thanks for your input.

Could be a number of artists. Possibly Jefferson Lee (Navajo)? I think it’s a good looking piece.

I got out the two favorite cuffs that I purchased from the same seller previously. They are much earlier and I really like them. The all silver one is heavy ingot and I’m pretty sure is coin silver. It tends to yellow out quickly but will shine right up even with just my thumb.

Yes, the turquoise does look like chinese, so it wouldn’t be that old. Turquoise is not bad, not spectacular. The silverwork is nice and heavy.
Those other 2 cuffs are real nice!

Thanks. Yes I think the turquoise dates it to at least the 80’s. It does have a decent weight at 46g but the ingot one is 94g.

@Islandmomma That’s a solid, great looking cuff. It appears to be Chinese turquoise, to me. The widespread, very black matrix leads me to that opinion.

Cool… More jewelry with snakes

I concur with everyone else regarding the first cuff; to me it looks like Chinese turquoise. I love the twisted wire, and the cuff looks like it has a nice heft to it.

The turquoise is pretty and the five stones match great. Sunwest Silver Co Inc on Instagram: "Danny Boy turquoise. Here is a large stunner piece that has webb for days. 26.5 carats $212.00"

Thanks @Jason. That looks a lot like it. Think I’ll do a little more research.

That does look like it. You may try and contact Danny Ottesson at Ottesson Brothers Turquoise. I believe that his father named the mine after him when he was a little boy and he had found some turquoise when out with his dad who was scouting for new mine sites.
You can contact him through their website. My son and I have gone on several turquoise digging trips to different mines they own. Very nice family to deal with

I agree with your assessment, likely Chinese turquoise and 80s or later. It is a nice bracelet though
