Hi @xpress4. Welcome to the forum. Why don’t you introduce yourself, tell us a bit about you, where you’re from, and what you know about the background of this belt?

Hello and thank you! I’m from the coast of Northern California. My husband and I inherited items from a local doctor’s estate. He was born in the early 1900’s and we received these from his daughter when she passed. Many beautiful and fun finds! I’m afraid I have no history on this item other than that.

Once again, Welcome. The belt is die cut and machine stamped. These were sold in specialty stores and curio shops catering mainly to tourist trade from the 30s and 40s through the 70s and 80s.Things like the belt hook, and connecting links are hand soldered. Likely purchased in the West or Southwest. The belt is in very good shape and probably has some age to it. Fair value on the individual conchas is $30 at the low end to around $60. The value would honestly be whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
