Hey all — just picked up this vintage 4-piece sterling silver ranger buckle set on a genuine black lizard skin belt and trying to figure out who made it.
Back of the buckle is stamped CR STERLING — nothing else. Belt itself is stamped “34 Genuine Lizard Made in U.S.A. 2985” on the back.
The craftsmanship looks Navajo to me — fan/sunrise stampwork on the buckle frame, bow-tie conchos on the keepers, scalloped edges, matching sterling tip. The patina looks completely original and the silverwork is genuinely impressive up close. Probably 1970s–90s based on the style.
I came across Charlene Robert Little who signs some work “CR” but her more documented pieces seem to be marked “CRLittle” or “CR Little” — mine is just CR so I don’t want to jump to conclusions.
Anyone seen this hallmark before or recognize the stampwork style? Attaching photos of the stamp and the full set.
Thanks
