Hi all — hoping someone can help identify the maker of these earrings. They’re sterling silver hoops with three turquoise cabochons each, set in a cluster style with silver bead accents (photos attached).
The hallmark inside reads “C” over “Sterling,” with what looks like a separate symbol stamp next to it — possibly a vertical line next to a triangle or hourglass shape on one, and possibly a D and upside down 5 on the other. I’m not confident on the symbols since they are worn (see photos).
I’m not sure of the exact origin — I acquired them either in New Mexico or Colorado, sometime in the early 2000s or as a hand-me-down from family in Colorado. I’ve had them for at least 20 years or so, I just can’t remember if I bought them or was gifted them. I’ve seen “C” hallmarks attributed to a few different Navajo silversmiths and wondered if this could be Chester Charley or Jerry Cowboy, but I’m not certain and don’t want to misattribute them.
Any help confirming (or ruling out) a maker would be really appreciated!
