any help identifying this turquoise? I haven’t had any success with the hallmark either, it appears to be an “A” with a “W” or mountains perhaps?

Looks similar to work and stamp by Annelise Williamson (anglo). No idea on the stone. Wild guess: Tibetan.

that stone is killer, regardless of the origin! you will probably never know with any certainty, without provenance from the person that dug it out of the ground. I love the chunky matrix, somewhat reminds me of blue diamond turquoise with that black chert. It’s an old mine that closed in the 80s I think, not sure how much output it had. Having said that, I would not attribute this to a specific mine, and just enjoy it for what it is.

Definitely love the stone regardless, I’m gifting it to my girlfriend so I just wanted as much info as I could find! It’s always fun to know more about the pieces I have, but some of my favorites are mysteries!
