Need some help in identiying this hallmark. Fairly certain it is Zuni.
Please take a look at this lil bear pendant. The markings are on the rear of the bear. I did my best to try and get it photographed. I can read the “sterling” written
in script but the rest is just squiggles. Any idea who this is or where it is from? You guys are always so willing to help and I appreciate it!
Not sure what leads you to Zuni, in that there’s no inlay or set stones.
I can’t decipher the squiggles but it looks like there may be an incised copyright symbol–almost always indicating a commercial product, vs. handmade individual artist work.

Here is the same one for sale on eBay. They claim one word is Sam. And one from Montana Gift Corral: Sam Ferraro. They claim he is an artisan from Bozeman.

Yep - seems to be typical of his work. Thanks for the help!
Well - mystery solved! Talked to Sam Ferraro (Bozeman, MT) and it is his piece from the 1990’s. Not Native American but definitely quality silversmithing.
Thanks again to this GREAT group for helping me out.
