Help with ID of cuff, no marks, metal?

Trying to figure out what this is all about. Appears to have three small turquoise pieces. Metal is heavy.

Thanks!

It’s a great style. Have you tested the metal?

It looks like Mexican work to me.
Perhaps it’s nickel silver (alpaca)

Oh no, not the alpaca again :llama: LOL

Cool cuff!!

I’m clueless about Mexican work, but I like this!

@Ziacat
That alpaca gets around!
I mean… it gets green around your wrist!

My hunch is that it’s Mexican made. It’s a nice looking cuff.

I’d lean towards nickel silver alpaca. Time for @mmrogers to chime in. He is really knowledgeable on these things.

Thanks Steve. Yep, I agree. Probably nickel. As far as the construction, it’s hard to know what to make of it. Looks like the individual stations (top layer) were affixed with posts, or rivets through the backplate. Nickel is kind of nasty to solder, so maybe this was the maker’s work around.

Thank you for all the information!!

Are we thinking it’s old and how old if it is?

Thanks!
