Hi , Would love some help in the identification of a couple of pieces I picked up, purely based on I loved them , when i did a bit of research I came up with a few ideas but I really have no clue , especially the Hopi Brooch, some real expert advice would be very much appreciated
Thanks in advance
The pin is by Victor Coochwytewa at the Hopi Silvercraft Guild (the cloud is his mark, the sun is the guild):
Victor Coochwytewa began creating exceptional overlay work in 1940, learning from Paul Saufkie.
He is credited with the now common practice of texturing the base plate of silver.
His work continually evolved and he learned diamond setting. His work earned many prestigious awards: the Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum, and the Gallup Inter-Tribal award. He was named an Arizona Indian Living Treasure in 1994.
This Purple Heart veteran of WWII returned to jewelry making in 1946 after his discharge.
He was the first hopi silversmith to texture the back plate of his pieces which has become a standard in Hopi jewelry. [Your piece was possibly made before he started this practice.]
In the 1970’s he began working in gold and diamonds, another genre stretching technique that garnished him many awards from the Heard Museum, Santa Fe Indian Market, The Gallup, and many other competitions. Success did not distract Coochwytewa from life as a traditional Hopi. He tended his cornfields every day, reserving afternoons for jewelry, and said that corn was his work and jewelry was his hobby. He probably spent as much time on his religious duties as on his other activities, and was a religious and cultural leader most of his life. He retired from jewelry making in 2006.

It would be necessary to see better pics of the pin, front and back, specifically: taken in natural lighting (no flash) and with macro setting/clearer closeup on the hallmarks.
The pendant doesn’t look Native American to me, nor does the hallmark appear in the usual reliable resources.
Thank you so much, and also for the maker information very helpful, i can look more into him as well now
Yes i will try to get some better images for you, only using my phone at moment and not sure how to get macro shots,
The only thing i found on the pendant was possibly an artist named Jenn Garcia but again I am really not sure, more investigation needed, but thank you for your help.
You have a very nice and collectible pin by Victor Coochwytewa.
You pendant is very nice and the hallmark looks like Jenn Garcia. Vintage San Felipe Pueblo Jenn Garcia Spiny Oyster Turquoise Earrings Pendant | eBay

Yes thats the image i found, thank you, there is very little info I can find on her, apart from a news article on a being in court of sorts, to be allowed to sell her jewellery in a certain area, i will try to add the article.

Also just a bit more info, I bought both of them in little Antique/ Junk shop in a place called Barnsley South Yorkshire, I paid £68 for the brooch and £36 for the pendant, not sure the conversion to $
