Those are really light colored turquoise, reminds me of Dry Creek. But I googled Poor Boy Mine and found some articles.

I read that the Turquoise Chief mine is close to Leadville, CO.
It is light blue, similar to the light blue Dry Creek. none of my turquoise reference books mention Poor Boy, but I should have googled it. I’ve been to Leadville years ago. I love the necklaces, but am typically not a big fan of light blue/green turquoise. This stuff seems fairly hard; definitely not chalk.

@Ziacat they sure did. And I had them for so many years and they made me so happy. The last one passed away at the ripe old age of 40.
Yeah, I also played with my Breyers, so some are a little worse for the wear. My favorite toys!
