Hohokam style shell bracelet with turquoise

While googling I’ve come across images of other bracelets “Hohokam” but they seem to be prehistoric and this obviously is not. Any ideas what this could be?

Seems like I remember Ava Marie Coriz making something like this, she was a Santo Domingo artist. Really cool piece.

Reminds me a bit of Angie Reano and others in the Reano family (also Santo Domingo/Kewa), although not quite as refined.

There are many Kewa artists who make this kind of inlay. Might try to find similar work.

Here are some similar style bracelets from the book Southwestern Indian Jewelry by Dexter Cirillo.

The first is by Angie Reano:

And this one by Frank and Charlene Reano:

Thank You, very helpful.

Pecten shell, interesting.
Does your book state approx value?

This listing, right? Seller asserts that the Heard museum judged it to be Navajo or Kewa. Being sold at $275. I don’t think it would be “worth” conceivably more being an unknown origin/maker.

Sorry, no information on value in the book

That was made by my grandma in the 80’s. It was made by Angie Reano Owen. But my grandma likes to go by Angie Owen since there’s another jeweler named Angie Reano. She told me she might have sold it for $1800 or $2100. If she made another one today, she would sell it for $4500. The shell she used can’t be found big enough for a bracelet. Only small shells. I’ve never seen her make one in my lifetime. They’re highly collectible and I would love to own one
