I recently acquired these earrings. Hopi maybe? Confused by the initials and non-pictograph hallmark. Any ideas about origin or maker? Thank you.

@Lin That’s a nice pair of Southwestern earrings. I’m going out on a limb and suggesting that they’re not Hopi made. The background texture isn’t correct, and the overall design execution isn’t on par with Hopi silverwork. Then, there’s the confusing hallmark that you mentioned.

They don’t feel right to me either re workmanship. The stippling seems odd.
Steve, the photo you provided of a similar design is suspicious to me too. And clip earrings would suggest they are older. 
Maybe not native american at all? Darn. A lesson for me to trust my instincts.

At least I only paid $35 for them at a thrift store venue.
