Horse Bridle bolo

Anyone ever see one like this?
No hallmark. From our family’s collection handed down from the 60’s-70’s.

I love!!! If I didn’t have a horse I would buy a horse just so I could put it on the horse.

Beautiful. I have seen similar used for riding in parades.

These are incredible. I have never seen anything like it before!

Very interesting indeed. First one appears to be a small replication of the entire headpiece, the second appears to be a representation of just the bit.

Welcome to the forum, Tventress. Great looking piece and photos. Do you have any information on it or where you found it? I’m thinking Kingman on the stones.

Fantastically interesting! Had no idea this form existed in a bolo. Thanks for sharing (both of you).

I’ve never seen these before either. The first one is really different being the whole headstall with a noseband, browband and bit, although not to scale. I think I like the ones with just the bits the best, but all 3 are pretty cool.

Agree with Tah, looks like Kingman nuggets. I wonder how old these are?

Thank you ! I bought it from a lady in Virginia. It is stamped by the artist but I haven’t figured out who it is just yet .

That’s it! From now on, I’m just gonna tell Steve what I’m looking for and let him work his magic.

Post a photo of the hallmark and someone might be able to identify it.

Beautiful pieces. I have horses and love fancy bridles.
