Can you also provide an image of the necklace. I don’t think of this inlay bead style being very old, that screw backing as being an older style. The necklace could have been custom made and the customer requested this style of backing.
A Pinterest user attributes these to a Julius Burbank. They were asking $350 for this pair eBay (the pair is no longer available). I feel like that is extremely high, but I’m not familiar with that artist
I would say $350 is high. Researching the artist I did see some of his pieces asking high dollar. Came across this seller’s (probably updated) Pinterest pin with a $160 price tag for these earrings. I’m gonna say an offer was excepted and they sold closer to the dropped price of $160.
$160 is so much more reasonable
Hi, I hope I am doing this correctly…here is the necklace image. No markings. Perfect condition, so beautiful!
Your necklace has some age and no hallmark which will make it difficult to id the artist. The beads are very well made, this is an excellent artist. I have included an image of beads that have been inlaid by Zuni artist Virginia Quam, she didn’t make the beads. This necklace sells for $1350. It would be difficult to recreate this quality and if you did it wouldn’t be cheap. I would imagine this necklace being around $900 - $1200 range.
Thank you Jason! It was very helpful!
