I found this in anonline Auction and it just yelled at me and the price was good so I bought it. Of course, I had also noticed the back and that it appeared to be a little bit older. I got here yesterday and I’m rather fond of it. I put it on the scale and it’s 53g. Leather’s in fairly decent shape tips have had it kind of rough but all in all it was a good purchase. Turquoise is kind of intriguing and I can’t quite decide what I think about that. Anyhow, I would welcome your comments and thank you.

It’s a beautiful bolo. Are there any marks at all on the back of it?

No, there are no marks of any kind. I actually pulled the leather up so I could see underneath and also so I could get the dried silver polish out.
I forgot to ask something. I understand that this type of bolo back pre-dates Bennett clasps. Does this appear to be original or possibly someone replicating the style? And am I correct in thinking that that would date it to about the 50s? I have pulled the Leather up again and I’m going to try and get you a decent shot of the actual workmanship underneath. I would really appreciate an honest evaluation. Thanks
