I have a turquoise cuff and I have no idea on it's origins. There is a small stamp of a deer (I think it's a deer) inside the cuff. Can anyone identify if it's Navajo?

@Susan1 Hi ~ I just looked through my book on Native American hallmarks but, I didn’t come across this one. In one sense, it’s kind of a distinctive hallmark but, then again, is it a coyote/dog/horse?? Some Members have used Google Lens to help identify hallmarks. You may want to give that a try.

ETA: Posting a clear photo here of the front & sides of the cuff may be helpful.

Will these pics help identify this cuff? As well, is the turquoise authentic?

More pics to help identify it.

@Susan1 Thank you for posting the additional photos especially in natural light. I really like your unique, turquoise cuff! In my opinion, your cuff is artisan(Anglo) made and not Native American. NA jewelry will often have stampwork, silver raindrops, and twisted wire work to name a few traditional decorative elements used. As far as the turquoise, I’m just not sure if it’s authentic or not. It’s a nice modern cuff and I hope you enjoy wearing it!

Can you show the whole cuff? The mark doesn’t look to be Native American so it would help to see the design

Sorry, I just saw your photos. I don’t think it’s Native American and the turquoise looks to me like imitation.

There’s others here that can verify my thoughts.

Good luck!
