I wondered if you can tell me if this ring is Native made? The stone is a dark blue and greyish white, supposed to be Sodalite. It is something I picked up recently for very little money and I wonder about it. Your help is appreciated. Been lurking on the site for a bit now, just getting brave enough to speak.
I can’t speak confidently of your ring’s origin (the hallmark is a bit puzzling), although it does have a native look. It’s lovely; I like the denim color of the stone.
Welcome! You will learn a lot here.
Looks native made to me, in style, at least. Cannot really guess on the stone; very dark. NA pieces aren’t usually marked with .925, bit some are. I’d guess this NA.
I already have, I learned that you folks know quite a lot about a lot of different Native Jewelry. I appreciate being here.
It’s Mexican. That’s Mexican hallmarking, though indistinct in this photo. But the font is typically Mexican, as is the 925.
Sodalite is really visibly blue, with white, so either the pic is not true or it’s not sodalite.
PS I enjoyed your Game of Thrones joke!
I may possibly be the only person in the world who has not watched Game of Thrones, so I missed out
.
I wondered if it was Mexican, but I don’t know much about Mexican jewelry.
Sorry, but I can’t get it to photograph better. It’s a navy blue with grayish white. But thank you for the identification, nice to know this
You can still catch it on disk, and I am sure on one of the pay views. It’s worth the watch.
The GoT reference is a running joke between me and my besty when we have no idea about what is going on, being said, or happening. The post said to give it a memorable heading, so…
