I purchased this in the 80's and would love to know where and who made it. It is marked STERLING G.

with single letter hallmarks from commonly available steel stamps you get multiple guesses.

Gilbert Damon - no
Donald F. Garrett
Michael Gashwazra
Gibson Gene
Geronimo
Francisco Gomez - no
Teddy Goodluck
Samuel Greatwalker LaFountain - no
Germaine smith

then you need to narrow things down to who was active in the 80’s and then look for styles that could match known work by the artist.

Thank you! I dont know much about the styles and artists who make jewelry like this, I just love turquoise and silver! So this at least gives me a starting point to search further.

Sorry, forgot to ask, but does this type of style make you think of any area or tribe in particular?

take your original copy of this image

go to googles homepage

click on the camera icon

upload your ring into the image search &

you will see endless variations of a classic Navajo design, most original, some mass produced imports

Thank you so much, that is so helpful! Im not so tech saavy so didnt know to do that! I just did a search asking about origine and got lots of info saying it appears to be of Navajo origin! I’ll never part with the ring, I love it but really wanted to know the history behind it. So interesting and I hope it is original and not mass produced!
