I would appreciate help with info @ C Yazzie

I have been trying to find some details about C Yazzie and all I have been able to find is a number of auctions of items with the hallmark. I hope someone can tell me more about the artist of this piece.
Thanks.

Hopefully Jason can shed some light on the subject - he is much more knowledgeable than I am (I am still trying to learn). What I found is that C. Yazzie could be Charlene Yazzie. I found her in Wright’ Hallmark book and in Schaaf’s Indian Jewelry III. They both say the same thing: She is Navajo, started making jewelry in 1970’s, does silver jewelry, was a smith for Felix Indian Jewelry & Atkinson Trading Co. before 1980. That’s about all I could find. Hope that helps a little.

I have one almost the same signed C Yazzie. The scrimshander signed the front JT. Does your piece, if you still have it, say the same?
I have had NO luck finding who the scrimshander is. I do believe the silversmith is indeed Charlene Yazzie.
