A friend of mine gave me this stone from South America. He said that it is Turquoise. Could you please confirm and what do you think be the value of this? Photos below

I’m thinking if I did I would want to know as much as possible about it… weight, size, country of origin & the mine too (if known).

Could be, but looks like chrysoclla to me.

It honestly looks a bit more like chrysocola to me. I am not 100% certain though.

Here is a link to give you some examples of chrysocolla. What makes us think it is chrysocolla is that blue tint. I would try to find someone who could cut this for you, that would reveal a lot about the stone. We see chrysocolla come through here, it is not very expensive.
