Identification help with a strand of Turquoise

Hi everyone,

This is my first post on this amazing forum. I have been enjoying reading the posts a lot. What a nice place to learn and enjoy.

I need help with the attached images. What kind of Turquoise are they? I work at a thrift store once a week and these were donated recently. I only took three pictures so that is all I have till next Saturday. Are these Asian Turquoise? I am positive they are not dyed hematite, I used acetone on the smallest one and it didn’t bleed. Anyway, I’d appreciate any help.

Thanks!!

Sorry about forgetting the attachments. Here you go! And Thank you so much! I appreciate your help.

Welcome to the forum. The images don’t seem to have made the trip, do you mind retrying?

Hi there,

I edited my original post with pictures.

Thank you

The fastest thing is to find an inconspicuous spot and poke it with the end of a hot needle to see if it smells of burning plastic. If its real turquoise it won’t do a thing, if not it will leave a mark. That’s why you do it in a hidden spot. Just heat the tip of a needle up with a lighter until it’s red hot…but be careful, maybe hold the needle with some pliers or something.

Looks to be turquoise, stabilized Kingman possibly.
