Bought this ring several years ago from a market in Iran, colour is uneven across the stone (in a good way) and has always been stable but it recently spent 3 days lost on the driveway and some areas of whiteness have shown up, makes me wonder if it might be dyed howlite.
If anyone can tell I’d appreciate it, thanks.

Welcome to Turquoise People. Iran is home to big turquoise deposits. This doesn’t have the look of howlite and would suspect it to be the real thing. Turquoise can change color overtime.
