Is this a turquoise ring?

First of all, i LOVE this forum! It’s so cool and I’m so amazed by how knowledgeable you all are about turquoise jewelry!
So I bought it from a friend. I don’t know its origin, the artist, value. I paid 100$. I’m ok with it even if it’s not worth that much! Just curious about its true value! And any knowledge about it!
Thank you all!

I found this…

I only did a quick search, but I couldn’t find much by her online, just a couple things. I don’t think that is turquoise, but I don’t know what it is. Hopefully someone else will know!

You’re welcome! I wasn’t sure what the first letter was either, I thought maybe a k (I also wondered about an i, cuz that was my mom’s first name). So I googled Karma Harvey Navajo jewelry to see what might come up. A couple things came up for Carma Harvey. Then I looked on the Amerindian hallmark site, and there it was. You have to be a bit careful with that site, because it has some errors. So I always cross check with actual online jewelry to see if they’re similar. Unfortunately you really can’t completely trust anything on Etsy or eBay (often sellers on there say whatever to push their items, there is a whole lot of inaccuracy), but if you read this site enough you’ll learn which online shops / sites are good. And there are quite a few members here who have some really good hallmark books; I only have one about Hopi jewelry. One of these days I’m going to invest in one of the other books; if I don’t spend it on jewelry first

As far as the stone, I wondered about gaspeite, however your stone seems to have an unusual texture. I’m betting somebody else on here will know. Heading off to bed now, hopefully in the a.m. I’ll see that somebody else found you some info!

@Yamei Nice ring! Looks like it’s a perfect fit, too. IMO, the price you paid is a fair value for the ring. I thought Gaspeite for the stone though it’s more textured than I’ve seen in Gaspeite. I hope you enjoy your new ring!
