Is this Bisbee? If not, what could it be?

I would great appreciate any help you can offer.
Thank you so much!
Sheila

This is a Bisbee squash blossom necklace. Not sure what you have, but I’d guess it is dyed.

It’s a man-made material I’ve seen in a lot of Asian jewelry, sometimes called balloon turquoise. Totally synthetic, I believe.

Welcome. That is not Bisbee. I have no idea what it is made of but it certainly doesn’t look like turquoise to me. Where did you get it? Do you have any kind of history about it?

You’re welcome! It’s certainly fun and colorful, even if it’s not turquoise!

For that price you’re ok. The squash blossom necklace above shows Bisbee and you can see how totally different it is. Perry Null probably has some listed for sale. Durango Silver has jewelry, cabs and turquoise info. Nevada Gems has a wealth of turquoise information. I wrote all this so you would have some places to learn from. Some people selling online have absolutely no idea what they are selling and others make things up. Maybe you’ll end up hooked on turquoise like quite a few of us on this site.
