Here is another mystery ring I’ve purchased, as I love the combination of gold and silver. It is not marked and I am assuming it is gold prongs, also I am being told the stone is gold agate. Any help on identifying materials or possibly origin would be great!
Very interesting stone. Don’t think it’s Native. There are some good stone forums on Reddit that could help you ID this.

I think that’s just an eye agate, they are relatively inexpensive. I would not assume the prongs are gold - frankly that ring looks like a new metalsmith made it, tho the way they constructed the band is interesting - not sure if it’s by design or necessity.

First of all, the ring is very dirty, as I have not cleaned since getting it, but I will. The band is strange and I am posting a picture, but it is almost like the band wraps around another band, so in the picture of the band you will see what I mean and it is that way on both sides of the band. So a band in the center of the band. Hope that makes sense. I also posted another picture of the stone sitting on top of the ring. You will notice that it sits on a sheet of something that looks like copper. You can see the gold tone under the stone. I just thought the whole ring was interesting. Thanks so much for the nice compliment!
