Is this stone turquoise? It is mostly black with very pale blue throughout. Also, very heavy....1,715 grams. Thank You!

It looks like it has a waxy luster, is that correct? Also seems really dense.

Yes, it does have a smooth waxy texture & is very dense.

Reminds me of serpentine, waxy nature makes it slip slide on the San Andreas.
