She said Ray Van as in Ray Van Cleve but this piece and a few others she showed look nothing like his later pieces.

I’m not at all familiar with “Ray Van”. A quick Google search pulled up “Ray Van Cleve” - I agree, this cuff doesn’t look like his work, imo. Is it an early piece by him🤷♀️? The stone looks like turquoise, to me.
