A few of the things that I’ve collected over the years. Nothing spectacular, but I still enjoy them.
Beautiful collection! Welcome to Turquoise People!
Welcome to Turquoise People! Nice collection. Does the braided silver bracelet have a hallmark? An artist by the name Michael Chavez made some pretty incredible pieces like this.
No, the only piece with a mark is the first cuff with the bars. It’s positioned so that hard to photograph. The mark is three mountains. I seem to remember finding the maker at one point, but didn’t on the quick look I did when posting.
Welcome to the group! Thanks for sharing your collection. I’m wondering about the piece below the 2 rings; is it a pendant? I have an older pendant with an attached handmade chain that is a similar style and stamping. Do you know anything about yours?
Great collection @dave . Your pieces have old school character.
@dave That’s an unusual piece. Do you think it’s supposed to be a tie clip? Or, a dress clip? Which was a popular piece of women’s jewelry in the 1940s-50s. Though, they usually came in a pair.
A dress clip is a type of brooch that attaches with a clip-style back. There are two types of clip backs, one is a double prong hinged clip with sharp points that can pierce the fabric like a standard.
The other type of clip back is a flat piece of metal, either triangular shaped or shaped to follow the outline of the brooch, that holds to the fabric by tension with the help of small pointed metal pins notched out of the clip and bent inward or soldered on.

Interesting, I’ve never seen a clip like this. Here’s my pendant, it’s in a very similar style, and the hand made chain is exceptional. On the back there is an old price and “circa 1940”. I have no idea if that is accurate, but it’s a nice, well made pendant and chain. I’d love to know more.
It does have a similar feel to it. Very nice. My guess would be that they are different makers though.
Fantastic and welcome! Love the collection, keep up the fine work.
WowWee!! That is unbelievable!! Both pendant and chain. Family heirloom worthy.
