Large onyx pendant, M. Kaye?

Hi- I’ve had this piece since the mid 80s- does anyone know about the artist, M. Kaye?

I really feel like I’ve seen that somewhere. I found a few items with that hallmark on eBay sites, but they had no description of an artist. I couldn’t find it on the Native American hallmark sites.

A few years ago I saw a similar cuff w another stone, that said Navajo, so? THx.

Maybe! Hopefully someone on here with some of the hallmark books can find it (only one I own is about Hopi jewelry). I like it; it’s very sleek.

Looks mid-century modern, not NA. This is the only M. Kaye I could find (and not likely):
