I’m trying to identify this artist. I believe it’s Navajo. I’ve checked with AI, known Indian hallmark websites and have not identified the artist. It’s a beautiful piece with coral, turquoise and onyx. Hallmark has MX MEX, or MEL and a rising Sun. Thanks in advance. J

Hello and welcome. This is your second thread on the same item, did you realize? I read this as MEX as in Mexico, the source of a lot of jewelry in the Native American style but not made by Native Americans in the Southwest, so I assume it’s a Mexican hallmark. Pretty much you can count on it if any hallmark essentially reads M E X. You may want to use Google Lens/Images and search further.
Is there a reason you believe it’s Navajo?
