I found this cute tiny guy after losing out on like 5 auctions for the larger one made by Larry & Faye Lonjose. I bought it from a shop who said it was made by Iule. I didn’t know people could make this type of inlay so tiny. Anyway, I looked up the styles for a few of their clan, wanting to know which iule made it, but nothing matches. The shop owner told me the person they bought it from insisted it was Iule. I can’t find this hallmark. Maybe it is not an “i” but an H or 2 T’s? Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

I don’t think of this as an Iule style. Found this one that is made by Larry & Faye Lonjose. The Iule family is known for cast work which this is not. I do find it interesting that this has what appears to be a stamp hallmark, usually you find this style of Zuni work with an etched hallmark.
Thanks Jason, I agree it doesn’t look like their style. Plus they stamp their initial and last name. The stamp is also why I didn’t think it was Faye and Larry Lonjose. The Lonjose birds heads all face the other direction and are much bigger than mine. The seller didn’t think Iule either, so she called the people back she got it from. She thought it was probably made in the 1980s. Have you ever seen this hallmark?
I have not seen that hallmark before.
