I bought this SB necklace from a friend who is a custom turquoise jewelry artist and originally from AZ. He found it during a trip while buying stones, which he makes several times a year. It was purchased from an original owner and reportedly vintage Navajo but was not given any other information about the piece. There are no marks (that I can find). My jeweler friend believes it is likely from the 60s or 70s and recognizes the turquoise as Morenci.
Any information would most appreciated. I love the necklace and treasure it. TIA.
@avidgirl Hi & Welcome! Your squash blosssom necklace is beautiful! This is only my opinion but, the turquoise looks like it coud be Morenci and the beads look handmade, to me. Iām thinking perhaps the 1970s or '80s for an age range. I hope others will chime in with their knowledge & insights.
By far not an expert, but i am always willing to give my opinion . Late 60ās early 70ās during the heyday of squash blossom necklace production. Not badly made and the turquoise looks very good. If I was to venture a guess, Morenci
