I’ve had these earrings for over a decade - but received them as a very tarnished secondhand gift from family.
Yesterday I decided to clean them up, and discovered the makers mark ‘MY’ on the back of a turtle, with of course “sterling” on the other.
I can’t quite figure from my research, whether this would be Mary, Marty, or Mark Yazzie - or someone else altogether. I can’t find any work that’s known to be by one of the Yazzies and bears this mark.
I’ve found similar earrings, but the stone details, with silver between - is all quite distinct from the turtle+feather work I’ve been able to find online.
Any thoughts are appreciated. (Sorry if this is posting in the wrong space. This is my first time navigating this site.)
