Patina? Meh more like black grime, not a patina fan anyway. Just thought you might like to see the before and after pics and to get an opinion on what can be seen in the before pic. On the left side it seems to me that there are one maybe two things missing due to the marks they left. I don’t know how the additional items are attached and don’t know what the original looked like. But I loved it for the stone, even more cleaned up as that’s what the silversmiths result was. I buy them for the beauty not for the resale value, I don’t resell any of them. So, if you have an opinion as to what may have been in those places ie a copy of the existing items, flower or tiny spheres or the curled ones, please post. I wonder if some are water indicators the curls and at the top right the spheres and smooth silver. Obviouly it’s always nice when the signature/hallmark is on any jewelry as well when looking for more. Hope you all enjoy this.

Likely leafwork (my personal term for this style is ‘salad work’) that wasn’t securely soldered on, caught on something and broke off. Overall the silversmithing on this one (huge gaping open spaces between the filigree) falls far short of the quality of the stone, which is excellent. It’s a pretty piece, but the stone truly outshines the quality of the metalsmithing and composition. I’d probably pull the stone, and put it to spectacular use, and have a lesser, but attractive stone cut for the bracelet’s setting.
