More beads - hand made/bench made/ machine made?

In going through my stash I came across this little versatile piece. It’s 26" long and weighs 30 grams. The round beads are about 7.5 mm at the equator. I don’t remember when or where it joined my collection, but it was more than 8 years ago.

My question is for you silver beads experts. Were these hand made, bench made or machine made? Judging by the irregularities and marks, I’m guessing either hand or bench made. The answer does not affect their utility - they’re incredibly useful on their own or for layering. I just want to know what processes they’ve been through on their way to my collection.

Thanks for your opinions!

I also think they might be handmade. The square ones look like the ones Leon Curley makes and my set of them has that slightly rough look also.

I’m no expert, but these look hand-made to me. The holes appear to be punched from the inside of the bead, which is a huge indicator. Take into account the overall rougher look and what appear to be file marks at the seams, and hand fabrication feels correct.

I’ll be curious for the input of more knowledgeable members, such as @mmrogers and @chicfarmer.

Pretty necklace!

Good eye, @Ravenscry. Agree with your assessment. Looks like the holes were originally punched with an awl, and then drilled out. Edges are definitely filed with what looks like straight up and down strokes relative to the axis. All look like they were fabricated by the same hand.

Thank you, @Islandmomma , @ravenscry and @mmrogers. I suspected that care went into their making. Those are the pieces that I warm to. While some, though gorgeous and seemingly perfect, leave me cold others, like this one, almost call to be taken out and used.
