I have this piece of vintage necklace. The clasp is marked 585. Both beads and clasp test positive for 14k gold. Because of the 585 mark and the bead style I’m inclined to think it’s of European origin. It’s ~95 grams in total. What is the most likely origin of the turquoise stone? Sleeping beauty? Persian?

We will not be able to give you any definitive answer, because without good provenance it’s nearly impossible to say which mine for sure. However, we can’t even make any educated guesses without pictures of the turquoise…..
