I posted in the hallmark section about the hallmark. When I mentioned to my sister I was trying to get more info on the necklace she said she thought that it was bisbee stones and I was thinking Kingman. I have no Idea so here are a couple pictures of the whole piece any information would be appreciated
Is there pyrite in the stones? Kingman and Morenci are more known for having pyrite, Bisbee not so much, and Bisbee is quite uncommon.
I don’t know if it is pyrite. Most of the stones are a sky blue with out too many veins. the pictures are pretty accurate on the color at least on my screen.
Agree with @Ziacat. The stone on the right in the last picture has pyrite, which looks metallic when you see it in person. A cool look. Morenci and Kingman are the two mines most strongly associated with pyrite, and of the two of them, Kingman is much more common.
I am pretty sure its Kingman then I remember my dad mentioning that name.
I agree with Kingman vs, Morenci. The Morenci that I’ve seen is a deeper, darker blue with pyrite that looks more silver than the gold-ish veins in these stones. Just my opinion.
I have a piece that from what I remember my parents bought in early 70’s I don’t know if it was new or old then. kingman tourquise I think. The hall mark on the back looks to be VWS but a printed tag says wilbert secetero.
This is what I found on him. One with name and another with initials attributed to him. Maybe others will have more info.

yes I had seen this too. I am just wondering if what is on the necklace is an earlier mark or if my parents were just told thats who made it. My dad was a silversmith so I doubt he bought it with out checking the hallmark but who knows since hes been gone for a long time.
This doesn’t look like his hallmark IMO. I’m not sure who’s mark this is. And when I look for Wilbert Secatero items online I don’t see any squash blossoms; they’re mostly conchos/concho belts, and some of those seem to be questionably attributed. They might be getting WS (Willie Shaw) mixed up with the Wilbert Secatero mark. This hallmark doesn’t look quite like either of these to me. What is that first mark anyway - a V and W attached (or vice versa)?
I am thinking a v and w attached and the s is a different style stamp. I wasn’t old enough to care when my parents bought it and now I am too old to remember what they said about it.
I hear you on that. I inherited a number of items from my parents that I really wish I had asked more questions about.
Thank you. I am thinking the mark on mine is either VWs or they double stamped the w but it doesn’t look like any of the ones you have found. Pretty sure it isn’t Wilbert Secatero plus its misspelled on the written tag.
The “S” may represent the name and the VW may be an additional personal mark that we see with some makers.
can you post pictures of the front?
I posted some pictures in the values and opinions section under my mothers squash blossom.
so two different makers?
