So I bought this bracelet today and of course it is my new favorite. Mainly because anything that I can afford becomes my newest favorite (until I find the next one). I feel like it might have some age to it. Anyone care to take a guess at its age? It weighs 1.5 oz. The silver on the one band is broken. Should I be concerned about this? Or just wear it as is? Thanks!

You can always get that fixed, it would change the look of the piece because it would need to be republished. It is a heavier gauge than we think of a Fred Harvey area piece being, but definitely has some age. My guess circa 1970s.

Thanks. I was guessing older than that, but it is so hard to tell. Especially when so much is misrepresented. I just haven’t seen enough to know myself yet. Are there any books you would recommend on Native American jewelry and history? Preferably with lots of pictures.
