I posted the other three pieces that I bought for my birthday from a local estate sale. I went back the next day and picked up the fourth piece. I had messaged the seller and told her to hold it. This one is another bolo and it’s by Alfred Jake. It is also marked Morenci on the back but it is a totally different look that I expect to see with Morenci. I did some snooping around on the Internet and on Durango Silver I found cabs of Turquoise from Morenci that looked similar. It was stated that it was found for a short while in the 70s. So I can’t prove or disprove that but I love it just the same. This one is a little lighter and shorter and more simple. It weighs 88 g and it’s fairly large at 2 3/4" by 2". Turquoise is 2 1/8 inches x one and 1/8 inch. Just wanted to share that miracles do happen occasionally and I got extremely lucky! Especially on the price! If they had been anywhere close to retail I would not have had even one. Thank you for sharing my joy.

Happy Birthday to you! That’s such an elegant bolo tie. The attractive design wonderfully showcases the beautiful turquoise cab. On the bottom left of the cab, I can see some pyrite flecks. I sure think there’s a possibility that it’s Morenci. I hope you’ll enjoy all your new birthday treasures.

Excellent find, and Happy Birthday To you
!
What an unusual piece of morenci! I’ve never seen one in those colors before. It just goes to show how confusing these mines can be. Beautiful bolo all the way around.
