Native American or not?

The choice of stones and how they’re cut and set makes me think this is a Native American piece, and the mark on the back (the only mark, unfortunately) is the script Sterling used on many NA pieces. But the amethyst crystal in the center throws me; I haven’t seen any NA pieces including a crystal. Opinions, please! Thanks, Martha

You find all kinds of different material used in Native American art. The construction and style definitely looks Navajo. I would call this piece Navajo, but it is never a 100% certainty unless you know the maker. Thanks for sharing.

Hi,
These four rings aren’t marked but pretty sure they’re real. I bought a “lot” of them an an estate sale years ago and was thinking about trying to sell these four because they don’t fit me.
It also looks like some of them have been tested quite a bit, due to not being marked I suppose.
The smaller ring with the single stone has engravings on the back. I think an individual engraved it.
Hope the pics will help.
I’d like to know if they’re really Native American and what they might be worth, if anything,
Thanks.

They all look like they have some age.The most valuable would be the one on the top left, nice small turquoise stone cluster. If we had that ring we would ask around $120. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Jason, for answering so quickly.
Even if they aren’t marked, can you tell just by the pics, if they’re true Native American rings? Thanks again!

Another question.
In reference to the ring with the single stone, the maker would almost have had to engrave all those words, wouldn’t you think? It looks like New Years Eve 1975 Mary Loyd 12/31/75.
Thanks for your input!!!
Cindy

Yes, they look like Native American rings. It is not uncommon to come across a ring that was made or given as a gift that has something etched on the back that has nothing to do with who made it. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for the information!!! It’s very helpful!!!
