Would you guys think these buttons are in a Native American style? They look kinda look like it to me, but I am not quite sure. They are made out of 1950’s and 60’s dimes. I thought they were older sterling at first, but then saw the faint traces of the dime on the back. At least I now know they were made post 1960’s.

From the looks of it they’re hand stamped. However the stamps themselves are very basic, lacking the additional detail one sees in Native American stampwork. Let’s see an extreme closeup of the front of these buttons.

Thank you. These are either hand made or cast from handmade masters. These took some skill to create, but without provenance it’s Impossible to say if the work is Native American.The techniques used to make them are used by many cultures around the world, and have been around for millennia.
The flaking of the oxidation on the back of the buttons and brownish hue on the front looks like they’ve had a long bath in liver of sulfur, perhaps to add an element of extreme aging to the finish.
