Of course I am quite partial to your Shepard. We had one when I was little that was much more black like Ninja. His name was Archimedes - one of the most ridiculous names I’ve ever heard
Well, we couldn’t wait any longer. Off to NC to pick up our sweet Marley. She was such a good girl on the 3 1/2 hour trip sleeping most of the way.
Congrats on your new pup @here4turquoise…just flippin adorable! Mom and Dad are gorgeous! We’ve had a variety of dogs, most recently Heelers and Border collies. Although we have a wonderful Lab now, I’ve always loved herding breeds. Here are Bonner and Brady (both deceased)…fantastic Border collies, and not too intense. I rescued their mom as a pup when a rancher brought her in to the hospital with a fractured leg. Since she was totally a working dog, they decided they’d put her down, she was only 4 mo old😢. He agreed I could take her, repaired her fracture and she was a fantastic dog. These two in the picture were from one litter we had…so we had 3 Border collies (and a Cattle Dog)! Fortunately we lived in the country and had lots of outdoor space for them!
Great to see your English Shepherds @chicfarmer! I’ve heard they are more common in the eastern US; I haven’t seen any in the CA area. Our boys were good size, though not quite the size of English Shepherds. As I said is ours were not overly intense, but were alway looking for a job. They herded anything they could find, especially chickens!
I’m sure your BCs were amazing dogs. They had such sweet faces. What an amazing story about your momma dog. You have a kind heart for saving and mending her. Thank you for sharing her pups with us.
Joker has the perfect name! Thank you for sharing your happy pup with us.
O. M. G. She is perfection! Congratulations! Love the cactus stuffie with a sombrero, too
Thank you @OrbitOrange So far, so good. She is a sweet pup. We took the smallest in the litter hoping she’ll be small like her mom, between 30 to 40 lbs. Turns out she is the feistiest of the eight.
Most of her toys are turquoise color or southwest theme.
How’s puppy doing? Gotten any of your shoes yet ?
@Ziacat Thank you for thinking of us. Marley is a sweet puppy. We picked her thinking the smallest puppy would be rather quiet and cautious. This is not the case for her. She is like the energizer commercial!
Ziggy is the first dog she has seen with a tail. She loves to chew on it. He lets her for a little while and then lets her know enough.
Marley is so cute!! I can imagine what Ziggy is thinking
Exactly. It was a quiet and calm house until she arrived. Now it’s zoomies all the time. No shoe casualties yet. I do need to find she’s without laces though.
Haha the zoomies. Mosi gets those a lot cracks me up.
It’s comical to watch a puppy. She is a bit awkward and will stumble and tumble during her zoomies.
