News about Ogg's Hogan

As I was enjoying looking at the jewelry in their photos, I noticed this cuff…

It really reminds me of my Pete Johnson cuff.

I know he considers Al Joe one of his mentors who has some similar work, so I’m wondering if it’s by one of these two artists. Can’t wait to visit there again!

This is great news!! The last two times I’d been there, they were “definitely closing up shop” and I got some great deals…I may have to make a special trip to Prescott now that I know for sure they’ve stayed open! Thanks for updating us!!

We’re heading to Arizona next weekend and will be in Prescott for a couple of nights. It will be interesting to see how the new store compares to the old.

Please let us know! It’s possible we will make it out there next spring, but I’m not sure. But I have to start figuring out whether we’re going to Arizona or New Mexico (or even Utah and Colorado again).

Sounds like you need to go to the Four Corners and hit all of them at once. :slightly_smiling_face:

Back from two weeks in Arizona. Happy to report Ogg’s Hogan is alive and well. Spoke with Jeff Ogg at length. Super friendly and interesting conversation. Also, met his grandson, Denver, who will be taking over the business one day. Inventory is the same high quality and volume. Nothing has really changed since the move. With Jeff’s permission, here are a few photos.

Interior…

And a couple of highlights in a sea of many. Hosteen Goodluck headstall…

Etsitty Tsosie belt…

That’s great news!! It looks like a beautiful new setting for them. I really appreciate the update. We’re seriously thinking about going back out there in April this next spring, and if we do I’ll make sure I get up there. My best friend in Phoenix may be moving before too long, so we want to get out to see them one more time there before they’re gone. Also great news to hear Jeff is doing well. I think I might call the store, and ask him if he can tell me anything more about my cuff.

The store looks absolutely gorgeous, and it looks like he has a lot of the same jewelry cases. However I kind of miss the crazy clutteredness of the old one

But the next question is, did you buy anything?

Thanks for posting these photos. The interior of this shop is beautiful. All those gorgeous concho belts! We have family in Phoenix - hopefully, on our next trip there, hubby & I can make time to visit Ogg’s Hogan.

I’m assuming he relocated, although this photo looks very similar to his previous location? I have a friend who has visited with Jeff several times who is headed to AZ & NM next week. I’ll let him know Ogg’s is open😊

I really enjoyed hearing about your visit to Oggs. Wish we would have had more time to visit back in spring. Maybe :crossed_fingers:t3:we will get back out there sometime.

He did relocate. If I remember right, it’s on down the same street away from the town square. Jeff pointed down that way to me when we talked to him a year or so ago. I’m sure @TAH will know.

Yep, down the street a couple of blocks. Was at 111 N. Cortez, now at 212 N. Cortez.
