Old green turquoise ring. Would love to know what mine

I’ve had this so long that I don’t remember where it even came from. I also don’t see any markings but they could have been worn down. Would anyone know the origins, or if it’s even turquoise?

I would date this ring from the 50’s or 60’s. When we see this color green, it means that the turquoise has changed color over time from coming into contact with body oils and water and such. You’ll struggle to identify the stone because of this. It’s a nice little Navajo ring!

@Bigbree43 thank you! Would there be a way to clean stones once they have turned dark like this?

Unfortunately there is not. However lots of collectors like that characteristic. It’s also a testament to the ring’s age (color change happens over years, not days!)
