I am hoping some experience collectors may be able to share some insight as to the possible origin and age of this jar
I made the choice to buy based on form and wear marks, I believe by this, the jar was made w/ the intent for use, rather than as an art display piece
The incised band consisting of neatly fitting triangles and rectangles of different sizes was painted in yellow, pale pink, black and natural orange ground color.
size: 6 1/2" H
Diam - 7 1/2" widest point:
condition: several shrinkage cracks, small chip to the neck
